You’re not alone in this calling.
A community for Catholic permanent deacons, and a podcast about the life and ministry we share.
Permanent deacons serve the Church in ways few people see — hospital rooms, food pantries, marriage prep, funerals, and the quiet work of presence. But the diaconate can be isolating. About the Founder
Deacon Michael Halbrook is a permanent deacon in the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois, now in his fifth year of ministry. A husband and father of four, he created Deacon Life because he believes deacons need each other — and that the stories of the diaconate deserve to be told.
He prays daily for his brother deacons.
